Here at Apothecary & Co., an integrative/naturopathic pharmacy, we are dedicated to giving you the very best of vitamins, supplements, essential oils, specialized compounded medications, medicinal herbs and much more with the focus on dependability, customer service, and uniqueness. Founded in 2018 by myself, Hillary Howell, PharmD, Apothecary & Co. has come to be a reality after my husband, James, was diagnosed with an extremely rare, incurable cancer, leiomyosarcoma. With this diagnoses, James and I made the difficult choice to treat the aggressive cancer holistically hoping to increase his odds to 30-40% versus the 5-10% with traditional chemotherapy and radiation. Being a pharmacist for the past 15 years, I knew this was going to be a risky endeavor, however, it was a risk that James and I were compelled to take. James was treated holistically with supplements, vitamins, infra-red sauna, diet, IV vitamin therapy, reiki, and meditation, among many other treatments. Ultimately, James made the choice to go to Mexico and California to the world renowned Issels Medical Center for immunotherapy. Sadly, James lost his “battle” with cancer in May of 2018.
